Separate structural subdivision Technological Vocational College of Lviv Polytechnic National University began its activity as an educational institution on June 6, 1947. The Ministry of Communications issued a decree to establish Lviv Electromechanical Technical School, which was renamed Lviv Technical School of Radioelectronics in 1963. In October 1994, the technical school was awarded accreditation by the Intersectorial Accreditation Commission. The status was changed and the school was renamed West Ukrainian Collegium College.

  On November 28, 2003, the West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technology and Management of the Donetsk Academy of Management was formed on the basis of restructured college on the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

  College of the West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technology and Management of Donetsk State University of Management was established as the Structural Subdivision of the the Institute, due to the Ministry of Education and Science Decree No 250 on March 26,2004. It was established on the base of Lviv vocational school No. 53

  In 2005 due to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointment No.283-p.,June 23,2005, the Institute was named as the Viacheslav Cornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technologies and Management, whereas the College of the West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technology and Management of Donetsk State University of Management was renamed as the College of Viacheslav Cornovil Lviv State Institute of Modern Technologies and Management.

  College of Design of Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management named after V. Chornovil with maintenance of the licensed amount for training of junior specialists was created with the aim of realization of the sedate system of specialists training by reorganization of Lviv State College of Design by the decree of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, December, 18, 2006 № 829, as a structural subdivision of Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management named after V. Chornovil.

  According to the Order of V. Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management "On the Closure of a Separate Subdivision – College of Design of V. Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management" dated October 29, 2009, No. 218 and Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated October 15, 2009 No. 1 / 11-8626 with the purpose of effective organization of the educational process at the Institute and its separate units and optimization of the management of the educational institution College of Design of V. Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management is closed by joining a separate subdivision of the Institute without the right of a legal entity - the College of V.Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management.

 The Technology College of Lviv Polytechnic National University was created by reorganization of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management and joining Lviv Polytechnic National University due to the Decree No. 1284 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, December 24, 2010 entitled "Reorganization of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management", Decree No. 9-10 of Lviv Polytechnic National University, January 24, 2011, entitled "Establishing Viacheslav Chornovil Educational and Scientific Institute of Advanced Technologies and Management as a part of Lviv Polytechnic National University", Decree No. 407-1-10 of Lviv Polytechnic National University, May 27, 2011, entitled "Establishing the Separated Structural Subdivision Technology College of Lviv Polytechnic National University based on the reorganized College of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technology and Management.

Due to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No.875 (25, June 2020) ' About Retitling of Separated Structural Subdivisions of National University Lviv Politechnics', and order No.432 ( 04 March,2020) cancellation made by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Separated Structural Subdivision Technological College of National University Lviv Politechnics' was renamed for Separated Structural Subdivision Technological Professional College of Lviv Politechnics National University
